Sarcasm, Determination, and Stubbornness

With all the drama of this past week I wasn’t able to share another exciting discovery with you all. I received another award a couple of weeks ago. Now here’s the kicker of the situation. I received not just one of these awards, but two of them. What award did I receive?

Who doesn't like cherries?

Unfortunately it was while writing my acceptance speech that I received the call that sent me driving through a storm into the depths of Southern California. I begged and pleaded to return home so that I may carry out the obligations of this fine award, but was unsuccessful. I spent my days signing autographs in the waiting room of the hospital. Heading out into the public eye became difficult and I was forced to wear a hoodie and sunglasses everywhere I went. Mr T was then tackled to the ground when I removed my glasses to  wipe my allergy stricken watery eyes and was recognized by a group of fans. Are you buying any of this? Eh…..me either.

So my obligation in receiving this award is to post three things that I love about myself and then select 5 fellow bloggers that I feel are deserving of such fame.

  1. I love my sarcasm. I strongly believe that a sense of humor is a gift that one should never take for granted. I have come across way too many people through my life that just seem to lack the skills necessary to laugh and make other people laugh with them. It’s truly a shame because their lives much be such a drag.
  2. I love my determination. I have the ability to take negative experiences and spin them into the determination I need to accomplish things in my life. That is why I have been able to overcome many obstacles throughout my childhood and have come out the other end as a college graduate.
  3. I love that I am stubborn. Although many people in my life have complained about the fact that I am one of the most stubborn people they have ever met, the fact that I am extremely stubborn has gotten me many places as well. I refuse to give up on something that I feel strongly about and feel that I need or deserve. It is my stubborn nature that has gotten me into some trouble, but these are troubles I’ve learned a lot about myself through. I also think that it is my stubbornness that helped me make it  though my toughest medical moments.

I’d like to thank the two lovely women and good blogging buddies, Marina and Fnkybee, that were generous enough to pass this lovely award my way.

So who are the five lucky bloggers that I shall pass this prestigious award on to? The award goes to……..

Ranndomized from the blog Waxing Lyrical

The Zen Assassin from the blog THE $#!& I THINK ABOUT

She.Is.Just.A.Rat from the blog Massively Attacked

In Like Flynn from the blog Me, a name I call Myself

and lastly

Ryoko861 from the blog The Soapbox

Now while I know that a few of you have already received this award before, I wanted you to know that I felt you were deserving. Now, I hope you all take notice that Mr T’s blog did not receive an award from me. Why is that? Although his blog rocks, he has yet to remake those damn pumpkin pies. Should he be able to use the excuse that we had to leave town due to a family emergency? I think not my friends, I think not!
