Flip Flop Edition
Most people, not all, own (or have owned) a pair of flip flops in their day. I am no exception to this. Currently in my closet I have 5 pairs of flip flops. I have two pairs of black, a pair of white ones, a pair of yellow ones (courtesy of Pkitass) and a pair of brown ones. Three of these five pair are great for running around the house and quick trips to the store. But there are two pair that I hold near and dear to my heart.
When the platform flip flops first came out a lot of people were buying them. I know that I did. As fashion trends change, the popularity of these flip flops has faded away but I still love them. I no longer wear them for fashion purposes but for comfort. These are some of the most comfortable damn shoes I have ever worn. PERIOD.
With all of the medical problems that I have, the more comfortable I can be the easier it is for me to make it through my day. The cushion from the platform makes it easier on my back and joints. I can stay on my feet longer than I could if wearing other shoes. Knowing I’d be dancing at 13′s party, I even sported the black ones that night.
My platform flip flops are no longer fashionable but have made it on my “Love It!” list. They are getting harder and harder to find but are worth all the effort. There will soon be a day where I’ll only be able to purchase them online. When that happens, the internet will be added to my “Love It!” list because without the internet I would not have access to my unfashionable need for these damn flip flops.
