In holland every bank states one very clear and obvious thing throughout all their commercials. They will never ask anyone for passwords, accountnumbers and such via e-mail or telephone. If they need something from us, they either let us call in, fill out their website or make us come by.

Though I have already had nine aunts living in Nigeria who died an left me money. Gotta ask my dad how many sisters he really had, because…..

I’ve been emailed with several scams, but I don’t answer anything in my emails. And, like you, I don’t recognize the phone number, ain’t answerin’ it! It’s ashame our society has lowered themselves to this. You can’t trust ANYONE!

I had one of those from our bank, and instead of using the info they gave me (it sounded legit, but still a bit hinky) I checked the phone book and rang the numbers they had, and sure enough, all bullshit. I tell the computer people my husband is a programmer, or that we don’t even have a computer… It’s still too scary what they can find out about though these days.

Waaaaaaay too many people don’t pay attention to the emails they get.
In a week, two people I know (one of whom should have known better and the other DEFINITELY should have known better) got suckered by the same scam.

Fortunately,with stuff like Google Wallet now broadcasting our account info, it will be even easier to steal our identities and we won’t have to worry about the emails anymore!

Facebook might be a great way to stay in touch with friends and relatives, but being careful with who you accept always remains. Being popular is nice, having a zillion friends is too, but what when their intentions get less noble?

Despite the fact that I have 271 friends, an equal amount got declined. Simply, because I don’t like the way they deal with things. Nor do I post my Facebook stuff open to anyone to read. I have friend groups who see the lot, but most of them don’t.
