Here is a list of the disorders I am currently diagnosed with. I know it seems like a lot, trust me I know. It can be overwhelming. It all stems from Celiac Disease, which has no cure or medication. The only treatment is eating a gluten free diet. Celiac disease can be fatal in the more serious of cases and other autoimmune disorders can spring up if a strict gluten free diet is not followed. Along with additional autoimmune disorders, other conditions may occur due to the lack of vitamin and mineral absorption. It is believed that since I was undiagnosed until adult hood I developed 2 autoimmune thyroid disorders which caused adrenal fatigue and cardiac complications. I am currently under the care of a few specialists but still have to conquer one day at a time.
I have found writing to be therapeutic, which is why I started to blog. I am puzzled by the difficulty in getting properly diagnosed, especially with modern day medicine. I did not have these links to educate myself and have found that doctors don’t disclose everything that patients need to know. So, if anyone is interested in this information or has been diagnosed with one, or all, of these disorders the information is here. If anyone has any questions at all, don’t be afraid to ask. I’ll be happy to share what I’ve learned over my medical journey.

This is a great way to get people proactive about their medical conditions. Good job!
Thanks so much and thanks for stopping by!
Wow mama. You are one strong fighting chick with the past and all of this going on. You are truly inspiring and I meet that from the bottom of my heart. The only one I can relate too that was listed on the other page is the scoliosis. I have a mild case of it. I’m crooked.
Love ya mama!
Love you too lady! We’re just a crooked bunch a biOtches
That’s alright though cuz you kinda have to be to tear up Sin City. My daughter just found out she has scoliosis too.
I can also relate to having lots of medical issues. I have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, post traumatic stress disorder, hypertension, degenerative disk disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and irritable bowel syndrome. I don’t really talk about all the things that are wrong with me not because I’m shy about it but because it has been my experience that people will focus on that rather than all the other stuff that I am made of. Do I have to compensate for all these physical problems? Sure do and with so much wrong the odds of something or several things going haywire is great. BUT it’s not the sum total of who I am.
I agree. You’d never know, unless you knew me well, that I have the problems that I do. Until I ended up in the hospital, most of my family didn’t even know. I don’t want to be treated differently because of my genes.
As someone who has Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that is apparently impossible to diagnose immediately, I feel your pain. I’ve been through more MRIs and lumbar punctures/spinal taps than I care for.
Good on ya for hanging in there, keeping strong and positive, and for helping others who might be going through one or more of the same struggles you’re dealing with.
Thanks for being so honest. It amazes me that medical science can’t figure out diseases for years and years! I guess if you complain enough ??? Course that depends on how you were raised. I hope you didn’t feel afraid to tell people you were suffering. Keep being strong, love! Melis
hey from ecuador where i live part time; i’ve had my brushes with bad health, and lucky for me, most were corrected by diet. i am highly sensitive to msg and to aspartame.. it’s in so many foods and disguised under names like vegetable protein and many others. those snack foods and quick soups are not worth it, so beware if it’s packaged and has lots of flavor. msg oftentimes made me so ill i could barely stand without almost fainting. the latter, i feel sure, was responsible for double vision.. i went five years ‘chemical free’ and silly me started drinking diet drinks again and i lost my vision for 24 hours! wham! you lose your vision and that awakens you! doctors ruled out many illnesses and thought i might have ms..
it’s been ten years now since my last problem. i also was having severe joint pain and eliminated potatoes (nightshade family) from my diet, and now my hands don’t hurt anymore… sorry this is so long, but sometimes the answer is so simple, and for me it was my diet that was killing me. i eat little wheat products but a lot of quinoa. i use honey or brown sugar or drop a banana in a blender with fresh lemon juice or other fruits. you’ll find you don’t need the extra sugar. pineapple and papaya are incredible foods for your joints and stomach and wow, they taste good! i feel younger and healthier than i think ever in my life .
good luck with finding wellness everyone, z
sometimes, this is the synical part of me talking, I don’t think anyone really wants to find a cure of such illnesses (cancer, heart disease, diabetes..) Just think of all of the jobs that would be displaced.
love your blog
